The controversial daughter of former President Jacob Zuma has once again left people talking following her unpleasant remarks. Duduzile referred to July as the month of flames as she responded to reports about some burnt trucks.
According to reports, at least 5 trucks have been set alight in the early hours of Monday morning on the N4 near Waterval Boven in Mpumalanga. This apparently follows the torching of 6 other trucks on the N3 in KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday.
“It’s July. The month of flames.” The former President’s daughter said as she replied to the news on a quoted tweet. Her response was met with mixed reactions from the public, and some people didn’t waste time expressing their views about what she said.
Some people alerted her that such actions constitute economic sabotage, as people lose jobs and businesses. “This is economic sabotage. People are losing their jobs, and the Zuma family is having a good time. They enjoy seeing South Africans suffering.” A social media user said.
“Zuma is an old man now. KZN should learn and project life beyond Jacob Zuma. KZN is a majority in ANC structures, but their views are unable to go through the ANC because with every little chance, they go wenzen’ uZuma. They must think beyond Jacob Zuma. He came and played his part, let him free.” Another user said.
Some people slammed Duduzile for apparently going back to her old tricks. “Up to your old tricks again. We see you. Hopefully, soon you will be behind bars where you and your daddy belong.”
Duduzile’s remarks on referring to July as the month of flames might be influenced by the unfortunate July unrest that occurred last year after her father was arrested. However, it is not good to promote violence under whichever condition or situation. Such comments are disappointing coming from a matured person like her.
