It is not a secret that the African National Congress caught people by a surprise with their statement that they want to hold coalition talks with the Democratic Alliances, which is the main opposition party in the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa.

The African National Congress National Executive Committee member comrade Thembi Nkadimeng says the African National Congress is open to having discussions with opposition parties. Thembi Nkadimeng further said that the African National Congress is willing to hold coalition talks with the Democratic Alliances.

Responding to this, the African National Congress National Executive Committee member Tony Yengeni said that, ” For a second, I thought this was fake news until I saw this.”
