Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla sends a stern warning

Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, the daughter of former president Jacob Zuma took to her Twitter account on Tuesday, saying her father warned us about the enterprises minister Pravin Gordon.

“[Former] President Zuma Warned Y’all About Pravin Gordon…”. Zuma-Sambudla wrote.

This comes after the judgement ordering an uninterrupted supply of electricity to hospitals, schools and police stations would “undermine” efforts to balance the protection of the rights of South Africans with the need to stabilize and protect the grid infrastructure, public enterprises minister said.

On Monday, the department announced their intention to urgently appeal the high court in Pretoria judgement. Gordhan expressed serious concerns about the implications of the ruling on current efforts to stabilize the national grid and end loadshedding.

While the department respects the independence of the courts, in this case the department believes that the judgement would have unintended consequences and undermine the very efforts to balance the protection of the rights that were ventilated in this case, with the need to stabilize and protect our grid infrastructure”. Gordhan said.

The high court on Friday ordered the government to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to all government hospitals, clinics, schools and police stations following an application by the UDM, Action SA, Bosa and other political and civic organizations.

Zuma-Sambudla took to Twitter, reminding tweeps that her did warn them about Gordhan. Tweeps flooded her timeline with comments. Here are the comments from social media:

“Zuma appointed him to one of the highest positions in the country, on TWO separate occasions. Twice, he said – there’s nobody better in the country. But he warned us, did he? Lol how easily fooled are your followers?”. A social media user wrote.
