Duduzile celebrates good news with her father and this was spotted on the T-shirt she is wearing

Former president Jacob Zuma, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla took to social media to celebrate the good news that her father received on Friday morning, 11 August 2023.

She posted a picture herself together with Zuma, captioned: “We Are Still Here…”. However, we couldn’t help but notice the she was slamming her father’s haters, she was wearing a t-shirt written “makunyiwe once”. Which declares war.

Zuma’s journey back to the Estcourt Correctional Facility began on Friday morning, when he voluntarily reported to the facility. According to Thobakgale’s initial decision, Zuma was “admitted” into the system, raising expectations that the former president would serve prison time as mandated by his sentence. However, the situation took an unexpected turn as news broke of his release later in the day.

The decision to release Zuma on remission of sentence has ignited a flurry of reactions from various quarters. Supporters of the former president have hailed the decision as a just and merciful gesture, emphasizing Zuma’s status as a low risk offender. They point to President Ramaphosa’s willingness to grant remission as a testament to the government’s commitment to fair treatment.

Conversely, critics have expressed concerns over the transparency and timing of the release. Questions have arisen about whether the decision was influenced by political considerations, given Zuma’s prominent position in the country’s recent history. Critics argue that the sudden reversal sends mixed messages about the justice system’s ability to hold high-profile individuals accountable for their actions.

In July 2021, Zuma was sentenced to 15-months in prison, after he ignored a court ruling that he should appear before the Zondo Commission. However, he was released after he only served two months of his prison sentence. After his sentence officially expired, there were calls that Zuma should return back to jail, however, Ramaphosa released Zuma on remission.
