ANC comrade in the Kwa-Zulu Natal province, Nathi Sithole has argued that former secretary general, Ace Magashule was right about Fikile Mbalula. This comes after Mbalula’s utterances on different platforms.

Sithole said the office of the ANC secretary general has been reduced to a platform where one man is always ranting, and issuing threats to those who share different opinions within the ANC.

These utterances comes after Fikile Mbalula had threatened to deal with Derek Hanekom, a senior ANC member. He said Hanekom is always commenting on everything like a freelancer.

“The ANC secretary general’s office has been reduced to a ranting platform for one man. We cannot say anything because we will be called factional by those who would rather see the ANC perish than calling out mediocrity. Cde Ace was right,” said Nathi Sithole.

Several ANC comrades have been expressing their disappointment in how Fikile Mbalula, the ANC secretary general has been conducting himself. They said he is tarnishing the image of the office which he holds.

Another ANC comrade, Derek Hanekom hits out at Mbalula saying he is not going to be told what to do by anyone. Hanekom adds that he will continue to comment on anything after he was called out by the ANC secretary general for commenting on many issues.

“I will continue commenting on social media on matters that I believe merit comment, including statements made by ANC leaders. But I won’t react to every reaction to my comments,” said Derek Hanekom.

This signifies that within president Cyril Ramaphosa’s camp, all is not well. Comrades are now taking their fight to social media and people can clearly see what is happening.

It is surprising to see Hanekom now calling out Mbalula in that manner. He once described him as the perfect person to be in the office of ANC secretary general, but it seems that he has now changed his mind.
