The situation in Free State province is not looking good for the African National Congress. This comes as party secretary general, Fikile Mbalula is expected to address ANC structures in the province today.
As the ANC decretary general, Fikile Mbalula is supposed to address party structures and the local community, some ANC members are planning to burn their party t-shirts and coffin once more near the venue where Mbalula will speak, and at the township’s central business district.
ANC comrades could be seen with a coffin that is full of ANC party regalia. These members have vowed that they want nothing to do with the African National Congress and are no longer scared of disciplinary action that may follow.
It is believed that the poor service delivery in the area is the main reason why these comrades have resorted to this action. Fikile Mbalula is expected to address party structures in Free State province which is one of the provinces where ANC is also highly divided.
Fikile Mbalula said as the ruling party’s secretary general, he has been given a huge responsibility and he has to make sure that he delivers the much needed results.
“I have been given a huge responsibility, and I still look at myself as growing and gathering a lot of knowledge out of it. I believe you grow through the eyes of your peers,” said Fikile Mbalula the ANC secretary general.
