A section of netizens have been sharing a video clip of president William Ruto across social media. In the video, the president can be heard castigating the former government over the increase of taxes. Ruto noted that the the increase of taxes will hurt the country’s economy thus creating a harsh economy to Kenyans.
“This people don’t understand the damage they are doing to the people and the econonomy of Kenya, kwa hii taxes wanaongeza usiku na Mchana ( with this taxes they are increasing day and night),” president Ruto could be heard saying.

A section of netizens have been raising questions over the details of the proposed budget. A number of Kenyans have rejected the proposed bill which focuses on the introduction of new salary deductions which includes the 3% housing funds deductions.
