Ruto Unveils Plans of Unearthing Kimathi's Remains So That They Can Do This

Kenya is a country that has a long history to where it is today, initially the country was ruled by the British and there were earlier Kenyans who had undying love for the country and they sacrificed their lives so that they can fight for the independence of the country.

Dedan Kimathi was among those who fought the British government and their efforts later came to bear results which we are enjoying today. Dedan Kimathi died in a controversial manner and got buried in a manner that was not good for someone who sacrificed his life to liberate the country.

Kenyans have been made to remember the late Dedan Kimathi, this is after the death of Mama Mukami Kimathi, the wife of the late freedom fighter. Mukami Kimathi was amkng the strong women who were in the forefront fighting the colonialists, she died on 4th May 2023 and she was laid to rest yesterday at her home in Nyandarua, a burial the was attended by high ranking Kenyan leaders led by president William Ruto, deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Amollo Odinga and many more others.

Today president William Ruto has reminisced the life of Dedan Kimathi, the head of state has said that Kimathi was not a criminal but a hero of the country who led to the attainment of independence, he says that Dedan Kimathi was buried in undeserving manner where he was buried with chains on his hands. The president has said that his government will support the process of looking for the remains of Kimathi, unburry him so that they can give him a befitting send-off as the one who fought for the nation.
