Fresh details have emerged that president Ruto was badly angered by the fact that a senior member of his Cabinet was involved in the bungled Kemsa scandal that involved Malaria nets. According to Intelligence reports, the senior leader in Cabinet ensured that his family got the tender yet they didn’t meet the threshold as required by Global Fund.

The only senior member in Cabinet after president William Ruto is Gachagua and Mudavadi. It’s clear that CS Health Susan Nakhumicha has also warned that he will not accept to see corruption in her Ministry just because the PSs are receiving instructions from some powerful quotas.
There are reports that the PS Josephine Mburu who was fired by president William Ruto used to disregard CS Nakhumicha saying she is only answerable to Gachagua. Whether Gachagua is involved in the Kemsa scandal, time will tell.
President Ruto has however warned Gachagua and all Cabinet officials that his government will not tolerate impunity. The president has threatened that his government will push hard to ensure that what adds value to Kenyans takes a priority in his tenure as president.
