Azimio on Wednesday declared suspension of talk accusing the government of ignoring their demands. Leaders led by Senator Edwin Sifuna said Ruto had refused and remained mum on discussion about cost of livinga and 2022 presidential outcome.

Azimio said they will deem the talks to have collapsed and resort to other actions if their demands will not have been met.

Kenya Kwanza committee co-chair George Murugara said Azimio did not exhaust all avenues of resolving differences that may have emerged.

The team met Ruto on Thursday and briefed him on what they had achieved.8e95a2f77f53416fb39478356b99b131?quality=uhq&resize=720

Kenya Kwanza termed the decision by Azimio to suspend bipartisan talks as “premature” saying there were no irreconcilable differences between the two sides.

However, COTU SG Francis Atwoli urged Raila to dismantle the team and have a face to face talk with Ruto. He argued that there was escape route for the two if the country was to move on.
