The president is trying to ensure that the government intelligence doesn’t leak given the fact they Kameru was appointed by the former president Uhuru Kenyatta. It’s notable that during the August 9th polls, Kameru made opinion polls that favored Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

President Ruto is trying to ensure that his government is stable and sound. It’s clear that Noordin Haji best fits at NIS given his ability to keep secrets and more so ensure that the government is stable.

It’s not clear as to why the president has decided to fire Philip Kameru from NIS but obviously the issues around Shakahola might have led to latest developments. Whether DPP Noordin Haji will be able to organize the intelligence system in the country, let’s wait and see.
