News reaching our desk indicates that Orange Democratic Movement ( ODM) which is led by the former prime minister Raila Odinga has been forced to relocate their scheduled meeting.
According to a report covered by citizen TV Kenya, the meeting which was to be attended by party’s executive officials has been relocated in Gem following a morning attack by people known.
” ODM forced to relocate meeting of executive officials in Gem after attack by goons”, the report intimates.
Speaking, one official revealed the attack was meant to disrupt ODM agendas in Gem by unknown people who are allegedly affiliated to the ruling party UDA.
” We had just prepared to have our meeting in this area. But we attacked by known goons who were sent by the area member of parliament who had apparently moved to UDA”, he said.
Besides disrupting their meeting, the alleged goons as well tried to vandalise Gem offices which are party of ODM branches in the region.
