Members of Parliament affiliated to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) who publicly showed allegiance to the President Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza government are literally in the blink of being expelled from the party.
According to sources who spoke to Sunday Nation, Raila Odinga has reportedly called for a National Executive Council meeting to be held next week to address key issues in the Azimio La Umoja One-Kenya coalition.
Among the agendas reportedly listed to be addressed is the move by elected ODM MPs to support the Kenya Kwanza government, contrary to the regulations of the party that you should not spearhead the manifestos of a rival party. This comes just days after the opposition boss held another high-level meeting with ODM’s Central Management Committee.
Among the MPs who could now face the expulsion is Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda, MPs Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Phelix Odiwuor (Lang’ata) and Mark Nyamita (Uriri).
