As Kenyans are eagerly praying for members of parliament to ditch proposed finance bill that is tipped to increase taxes, Azimio la Umoja camp has come up with a plan to expose ‘enemies of the people’ .
This is according to a report covered by Sunday’s nation which indicates Raila Odinga’s camp is planning to collect information on the open voting and publish it in the media.
According to Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s insider, the move will expose members of parliament who will vote in favor of more taxes.
By doing so, they will label them ‘ enemies of the people’, a move that will elicited rivalry between their them and supporters.
This comes in the awake of president William Ruto’s stance that the proposed taxes will benefit the government as well as kenyans in various ways.
Speaking yesterday during the burial of late Mukami Kimathi, Mr Odinga hitted out at Kenya Kwanza government for intimidating kenyans with high taxes when the cost of living is still high.
We wish to make it clear that as a party, we will try our best to ensure this anti-people budget is not passed by the National Assembly,” Mr Odinga said this week.
