Delightful Days, the newest Pokemon Go season, will bring new Max creatures, Egg rotations, bonuses, the highly anticipated Go Fest, and the debut of Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta.
Every new Pokemon Go season infuses Niantic’s game with new interesting creatures – including Shinies, Dynamax, and Gigantamax forms – as well as events, tasks, juicy rewards, and a lot of fun.
The Delightful Days season will focus on Galarian, Paldean, and Hisuian Pokemon, and will finally introduce the Mythical Volcanion and the alternate forms of the Legendary Heroes: Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta.
Pokemon Go Delightful Days season: Dates & time
The Delightful Days season will run from Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM until Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time.
This follows directly from the Might and Mastery season, which introduced new Dynamax and Gigantamax forms, such as Gigantamax Machamp. Plus, the debut of the Legendary Wushu Pokemon, Kubfu, and its two evolutionary forms: Urshifu Single Strike Style and Urshifu Rapid Strike Style.
Crowned Zacian & Zamazenta
Ticket holders for the Pokemon Go Fest 2025 in-person events will be the first to discover the Legendaries Zacian and Zamazenta‘s alternative forms: Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta. However, once the Global event kicks off, players worldwide will get to fight them too.
Both Crowned Shield Zamazenta and Crowned Sword Zacian will appear in 5-Star Raids, but only for one day. The first one will be on Saturday, June 28, 2025, while the second one will do the same on Sunday, June 29, 2025.
Keep in mind that after defeating them, they’ll return to their standard Hero of Many Battles forms. Trainers can then change their forms by using very rare power sources called Crowned Sword Energy and Crowned Shield Energy.
Crowned Energy
Both types of Crowned Energy can be obtained by battling the Crowned forms of Zacian and Zamazenta in 5-Star Raids or by completing ticketed Special Research.
They’ll require x1,000 Crowned Energy (each) and must know the move Iron Head. This Charged Move will then change to Behemoth Blade (Crowned Sword Zacian) and Behemoth Bash (Crowned Shield Zamazenta)
After the first transformation, trainers will be able to toggle between Hero of Many Battles and Crowned forms without requiring any more Energy.
Moreover, even though they cannot Dynamax or Gigantamax, both Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta will be allowed to participate in Max Battles.
Pokemon debuts
As mentioned, the Delightful Days season will focus on the Galar, Paldea, and Hisui regions, which means new creatures from those regions will be added to Pokemon Go.
Some of the teased debuts for the upcoming months include Paldean Tatsugiri, Hisuian Lilligant, Galarian Yamper, and its evolution, Boltund.
Max & Mythical Pokemon debuts
While Gigantamax Rillaboom’s debut will be part of the Might and Mastery season’s finale, the other two Galarian starters will get their gigantic forms during Delightful Days.
Both Gigantamax Cinderace and Gigantamax Inteleon will debut at special events that are part of the Go Fest celebrations. The introduction of the Mythical Volcanion is also a key part of this year’s fest, so don’t miss it!
Additionally, Dynamax Hatenna and other Dynamax Pokemon will debut.
