PASAY CITY, Philippines — A Filipino-Chinese businessman kidnapped in broad daylight along Macapagal Avenue has been found dead, along with his driver, police confirmed on Tuesday.

Que was abducted while dining at a seafood restaurant in Pasay City, according to authorities.
Sources familiar with the investigation said the victim’s family paid an initial ransom of PHP60 million, followed by another PHP100 million, in a desperate bid to secure his release. Despite the payments, both Que and his driver were executed.
The incident has raised serious concerns over public safety and dealt a blow to the credibility of the Philippine National Police.
