Matome Mokoena, a police officer with the Metro in Johannesburg.

Yesterday, he and his colleagues were told that a car was carrying out a robbery in Vlakfontein.

So they rushed there and his colleagues stopped the car…as soon as they approached, the robbers shot him dead.

It is said that he tried to hide and they found him there and killed him.

There was another person who was shot dead yesterday in the same area where the robbers are suspected to be.
