Popular social media influencer known as NCW was carjacked at gunpoint outside a KFC in Diego Martin on Wednesday night, leaving him shaken but unharmed. READ MORE HERE
Around 8:07 p.m. on April 23rd, 41-year-old Nigel Watson, also known as NCW of Diego Martin, was seated in the front passenger seat of his blue MG (registration number PEE 2498), parked in the KFC car park at the corner of St. Lucien Road and Sierra Leon Road. His wife, who had been driving, was inside the restaurant at the time.
Reports state that a masked entered the vehicle from the driver’s side, pointed a gun at Watson, and demanded money.
When Watson told the suspect he had none, the gunman threatened to shoot and ordered him out of the vehicle. Watson complied.
The suspect then fled the scene in the stolen car, heading south along the Diego Martin Highway. The vehicle was later found abandoned near Crystal Stream.
Investigations are being conducted by PC Belmar of the West End CID.
In a statement issued on social media hours after the incident, NCW said he was ok and thanked those who have sent swords of encouragement. — Story by Ian Alleyne Network
