Black Ops 6’s Season 4 battle pass and new skins have been revealed, and one “pay to lose” skin already has fans worried for the future.
Whenever a new seasonal update for Call of Duty comes around, the developers will typically show off the battle pass and new bundles ahead of things kicking off.
On May 27, Treyarch revealed the first look at some of the new bits coming in Black Ops 6 Season 4. That includes a Dadler skin for, well, Adler in the form of the Dressed to Grill bundle, as well as the new BlackCell add-ons.
In that BlackCell content, there is a new operator – Omen. The Crimson One operator is a demon, quite literally, with horns on his head and chains all over his body to represent “a soul condemned to eternal imprisonment.”
New Black Ops 6 skin already has fans worried
The brand-new operator is bringing skins and blueprints from the “netherworld” too, but it’s his standard look that has fans worried – especially if they’re shelling out so much for the premium version of the new battle pass.
“This game has had the worst battle passes and skins out of the recent COD games. The battle passes are so boring I don’t even buy them anymore,” one said. “Looks like it’s glowing, so it’ll probably have some sort of obnoxious effect on it. pay to lose essentially,” another commented.
“All these skins are AI-generated. All of the skins just suck.” another said. “This game has the worst cosmetics I’ve ever seen,” added another.
Cosmetics have been a hot topic across the Black Ops 6 cycle, with many fans complaining that the majority of them don’t keep the theme of the game.
Omen would be another that falls into that category, seeing as he’s not exactly a military veteran from the 90s. Plus, if he’s pay-to-lose, as some believe, that raise further questions.
