Veteran Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, has said that many people think he is the twin brother of his longtime friend and collaborator Osita Iheme, also known as Pawpaw.
Ikedieze, who is 45 years old, said that the reason for this misconception is because of their similar height and the mischievous roles they often play in movies.
In his words as made available by Daily Post “Whenever people want to see one of us, they would always want to see the two of us because they have that imagination of our mischievousness in the movies playing out in real life in their mindset”.
However, Ikedieze said that he and Iheme are not twins, and that they have different personalities and interests.
He said “As much as we play together, I have some qualities or traits that differentiate me a little bit, he has his own too that differentiates him a little bit from me when it comes to some things.”
Ikedieze and Iheme have been friends since they were teenagers, and they have starred in over 100 movies together. They are one of the most popular comedy duos in Nigeria, and their movies have been enjoyed by audiences all over Africa.
Despite the misconception that they are twins, Ikedieze said that he is not bothered by it. He said that he is grateful for the love and support that their fans have shown them over the years.
