The Psquare pop duo, the identical twins, Peter and Paul Okoye, have shared insights on the valuable takeaways gained from their reconciliation and its impact on their lifestyle.
During a recent conversation with CNN‘s African Voices Change Makers, the identical brothers disclosed that they have shifted their focus towards channeling their resources into personal enterprises as opposed to splurging on luxury items as they once did.
In 2017, the Psquare pop duo went their separate ways due to a conflict arising from their disagreement over the involvement of their elder sibling, Jude Okoye, in their managerial affairs.
Nonetheless, in 2021, they reconciled their differences and organized their inaugural solo concert shortly after.
Concerning their reunion, Peter Okoye, also known as “Mr. P,” expressed, “The circumstances surrounding our split were quite similar to what happens in any group.
However, this does not change the fact that we are all human beings, and we tend to seek transformation and growth. In the face of such situations, it is important to focus on the positive aspects and let go of the negative ones. This is why I have become more enterprising.”
Peter further shared that his solo stint has been a valuable learning experience, leading him to invest in multiple enterprises. He elaborated, “In the coming years, my goal is to establish the largest casino in Africa. All of us have ventures in real estate as well.”
In contrast, Paul attributed their split in 2017 to personal matters within their family rather than any musical differences.
Paul, who is also known as “Rudeboy,” chimed in, saying, “Now that we are reunited, I have a clearer understanding of where to allocate my funds as more income flows in.
However, in the past, it was mainly on trivial items like timepieces and jewelry. Our priorities have since evolved.” The duo’s supporters have embraced their reconciliation and their newfound emphasis on entrepreneurial pursuits.
