Renowned Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, has opened up about her persistent attempts to secure a spot on the popular reality show, Big Brother Naija (BBN), with the intention of promoting her innovative Cook-a-thon venture. Baci shared this revelation during an appearance on “The Big Friday Show,” a radio program hosted by former BBNaija contestant, Tacha.
According to PUNCH Newspaper, during the show, Baci candidly shared, “I tried to get on Big Brother Naija for a while. I think I auditioned about four or five times. The plan for the cook-a-thon was still in the pipeline, so my goal was to go to Big Brother and then come out and do the cook-a-thon.”
However, fate seemed to have other plans for Baci. She further expressed, “But I guess God just knew, he was like you know what, this is fine, just focus on this. This is going to take a lot more from you.”
Baci’s Cook-a-thon made waves for its exceptional nature, as she managed to prepare over 100 pots of food, smashing the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes set by Lata Tondon of India in 2019. While her aspirations to be on the reality show didn’t come to fruition, Baci’s dedication to her culinary venture has certainly yielded remarkable achievements, setting her apart as a true pioneer in her field.
