After Nigerian singer Azeez Adesina Fashola, who popularly known as Naira Marley was seen in a video as an ambassador the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). It has sparked a lot of comments and reactions on different social media platforms. This is because Naira Marley is well known for his stance on marijuana, but the NDLEA chose him as an ambassador.
According to the video, he said, “It’s your boy, Naira Marley, I’ll like to urge my fans, Marlians and all Nigerian youths to stop doing drugs because it’s not good for your well-being. Stop substance abuse of any form. I’ve keyed into this campaign to support the NDLEA’s efforts to stop drugs on the streets. It’s not good; it makes you go back to doing crime.”
The ‘Soapy’ crooner was also seen in a picture with the with the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier General Buba Marwa.
The video generated a lot of reactions an from fans and other celebrities, one of the celebrities that was very vocal about it was Tonto Dike. She said that the NDLEA was the most set of folks and referred to the NDLEA as an embarrassment. She also dared them to respond to her or pick her for questioning.
She, however, said she has no problem with Naira Marley, but with the government.
