Daddy Freeze recently shared his perspective on the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, in a live video. He expressed surprise that some people are questioning the court for Emefiele’s suspension, despite the hardship Emefiele inflicted through the scarcity of new naira notes.
Elaborating further, Daddy Freeze recalled when his wife was wrongly accused of being a prostitute. At the time, people were unsympathetic and the court did nothing when she tried to defend herself. Now, Daddy Freeze finds it ironic that some of those same people expect him to question the court’s ruling on Emefiele.
Daddy Freeze believes Emefiele’s supporters have an agenda they are trying to push. However, he refuses to be part of that agenda. Instead, he thinks people should allow the Department of State Services (DSS) to do their job professionally.
Daddy Freeze said he has no objection if Emefiele is eventually released by the DSS. However, he will not be sympathetic towards Emefiele’s current challenges, given the economic hardship Emefiele imposed on Nigerians through the naira redesign policy. Daddy Freeze believes Emefiele should face the consequences of his policy decisions.
