For the very first time since the reality show ended, former participants of Big Brother Naija, Beauty and Phyna, who were once close friends, have finally addressed the ‘delightful circumstance.’
As you may remember, Beauty and Groovy were in a romantic relationship before her disqualification. However, after she was evicted from the program, her dear friend, Phyna, made advances toward her partner.
During the reunion, Beauty Tukura openly expressed her lack of concern about seeing her former romantic partner, Groovy, being involved with her friend, Phyna, after her elimination from the reality show.
Beauty stated that Phyna was someone she truly admired and supported throughout her stay in the house. However, she lamented that Phyna had nothing positive to say about her due to their involvement with a man.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the show’s host, inquired, “What were your initial thoughts when you first observed the development of Groovy and Phyna’s relationship?”
Beauty replied, “Honestly, I didn’t have any concerns about that. And let me explain why, initially, I had a strong grip on reality. Does that resonate? I am genuinely authentic.”
“Even after my eviction from the Big Brother House, during my first interview, I was questioned about Groovy and everything related to him. I openly expressed my regret for the things I said about him. I made it clear that I didn’t anticipate him not moving on.
“Therefore, I never had any objections if Groovy chose to be with someone else. I am not a sorceress. It wouldn’t bother me in the slightest.”
Regarding her decision to ignore Phyna at a party following the reality show, Beauty explained, “It was because I came across a video clip where this Phyna wished death upon me.
She continued with her hurtful words, and now she’s involved with Groovy. If she desires death, she can go ahead and embrace it.”
In her defense, Phyna stated that her previous remarks were not genuine, saying, “I attribute those statements to my volatile temper.”
