Asa Asika, the manager of popular Nigerian singer and record producer Davido, recently revealed that he is responsible for paying the monthly salaries of around a hundred individuals, despite not having a degree. In an interview with social media influencer Smartmoneyarese, the 32-year-old talent manager emphasized that everyone’s journey and circumstances are unique. Asika also mentioned that some of his friends, who hold PhD degrees, earn minimal wages.
He stated, “Everyone’s story is different. Everyone’s path is different. People often feel that there is a specific route to achieve certain goals…”

“I oversee one of my companies that pays salaries to 45 employees each month, and that’s only one of the companies I manage. If I calculate it, I probably pay the salaries of approximately 100 individuals every month, and I don’t possess a degree.”
Asika has been managing the successful singer since 2012, with a brief fallout in 2013 followed by a reconciliation four years later. Since 2017, Asika has been Davido’s manager. He is the founder of The Plug Entertainment, a management firm established in 2016. In 2019, Asika was honored with the Artiste Manager of the Year award at The Beatz Awards.
