Azimio One Kenya ally Kabando wa Kabando has made a major announcement to Kenya Kwanza security bosses after declaring punishment to protest planners.
President William Ruto has been advised to avoid focusing on arrest of Azimio One Kenya leaders and instead deal with what Kenyans want before he fails politically.
He said that if Ruto deal with Raila Odinga, the problem with continue and fail ahead of next presidential poll.
The former MP said the protests that took place on Wednesday were not primarily focused on Opposition chief Raila Odinga but rather on the issue of the high cost of living.
Kabando addressed President William Ruto directly, stating that Raila is merely the visible representation of the protests and not the underlying cause. Kabando emphasized that the demonstrations were driven by the burden of rising living expenses and unfulfilled promises, further predicting that Ruto’s political influence would decline.
This comes after Interior CS Kithure Kindiki directly blamed Azimio leader Raila Odinga for wanton looting and destruction of property that accompanied Wednesday’s countrywide demonstrations.
