A section of 10,000 Nyanza region residents had moved to court seeking to secede from Kenya citing obvious discrimination by government. However, Lawyer Ekuru Aukot has delved into the matter and explained on what he knows about secession.
He is clear that, Kenya is one solitary County and no region or community can walk out willingly or unwillingly. He is clear that, those who want to secede must have a standby military that can engage Kenya Defence Forces before being allowed to secede.

Ekuru Aukot is firm that, it’s also obvious that not all Nyanza region residents wants secession. He is confident that, the issue of people going their own path because they do not want the president should never happen whatsoever.
The court has however ruled on the matter of secession by stopping any section of Nyanza from partying ways with Kenya. As always, let’s wait and see of what unfolds in Kenya given the prevailing political circumstances.
