“You Came To This Party Late” Kiambu Senator Karungo Alleged Ruto’s Message To Kimani Wamatangi

The political landscape in Kiambu County has been marred by conflict and drama, with the Governor, Kimani Wamatangi, at the centre of it all.

However, it seems that the tide may be turning, with Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thang’wa claiming that President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua have stepped in to resolve the ongoing feud between the Governor and the Members of the County Assembly (MCA).

According to Thang’wa, Ruto read Wamatangi the riot act during a recent trip to Githurai, telling him that if he couldn’t work towards the manifesto of Kenya Kwanza, he was not part of the party.

Thang’wa alleged that the President went further, ordering the Governor to familiarise himself with the manifesto, given that he had joined the party late and didn’t have sufficient time to review it.2d2dff91c1d74a1f8419d2301985fce5?quality=uhq&resize=720

Thang’wa didn’t reveal the date of the Githurai rally or the agenda of the tour, but he did suggest that Ruto had been called in as a last resort to help end the conflict between the MCAs and Wamatangi.

According to the Senator, the Governor had been unresponsive to earlier attempts at mediation and dialogue, with Gachagua and Thang’wa having tried to intervene unsuccessfully.

During a meeting that was supposed to address the conflict, Wamatangi allegedly began addressing irrelevant issues, such as being removed from a WhatsApp group.

The MCAs have accused him of mismanaging funds and belittling them, allegations the Governor has denied.

Reports suggest that the MCAs wanted to be given control over road tenders and bursaries, a request that Wamatangi had not responded to.

However, with Ruto and Gachagua stepping in, there may be hope for a resolution to the ongoing feud in Kiambu County.

The involvement of high-profile politicians in the conflict highlights the importance of political stability and the impact of such conflicts on the daily lives of citizens.

The people of Kiambu County will undoubtedly be watching developments with interest, hoping for a swift and peaceful resolution.
