Yesterday, the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition brigade held a Requiem mass at Stephen Kalonzo’s Command centre at Karen in Nairobi. The mass was aimed at mourning all those who suffered during the anti-government protests. The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition has been accusing the police officers of their brutality which led to loss of lives.
The former president, Uhuru Kenyatta, was one of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition leaders who joined the event yesterday. Despite having an impromptu visit, the former head of State never made a speech but contributed a total of 1 million Kenya shillings to mourn the dead.
Jeremiah Kioni, the embattled Jubilee party Secretary General, has revealed what the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition brigade did to Uhuru Kenyatta despite joining them. Kioni revealed that the Azimio leaders came into agreement that the former head of state would not make his speech.
Kioni said that yesterday was not a day of speeches but a day of mourning. He said that the former president, Uhuru Kenyatta, was not to address the mourners because the Azimio group opted for him to remain silent.
Despite not making his speech, Kioni elaborated that what Kalonzo read was collective views of all Azimio la Umoja group including the former president, Uhuru Kenyatta.https://www.facebook.com/100064288795404/posts/pfbid0st3tAfJLQ77pRxPF3k6RjW8eqyhxcVfiXS4UVhuYf4cWFGBt8mEgdDgdZYG7hZool/?app=fbl
