Who Is Mr Wang? Kenyans Probe Past Employer Of Khalif Kairo’s ‘Wife’ Wavinya

The candid interview and the reactions from fans have kept the conversation going, with many speculating on Maria’s past and Kairo’s response to her revelations.

Moreover, a couple of old videos showing her and Mr Wang emerged online, one of which depicted the two spending quality time at the exquisite Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, and some Kenyans online even claimed that Wavinya was one of several female clients Mr Wang has worked with.

Then, Kairo addressed the contentious matter as some Kenyans began painting the belief that Wavinya had a controversial work experience before their now-famous relationship.

“Let me give you a secret that many don’t know. There’s a website called ‘Youku,’ which has around 500 million users, mostly Chinese. A handful of Kenyan models have quietly made millions by pushing content and influencing for Chinese companies on that app,” Kairo explained on X, a platform that has been the biggest contributor to his current reputation.

He continued: “When a man makes money in this town, they say it’s ‘wash.’ When a woman does, they claim she’s an escort or prostitute. That’s the mindset of people who are bitter because they have nothing to show for themselves after 30 years. It’s just jealousy, and we rebuke that spirit.”

Kairo added that Maria, who hails from the Kamba community, was simply doing her work while earning royalties from her agency in South Africa. “She’s done quiet influencing for big brands like Ferrari, but people prefer to throw shade to get attention on social media.”

Kairo also advised people to focus on their own success instead of accusing others of shady dealings: “Instead of all the talk, work hard, save in a SACCO, and within six months, you can qualify for a loan double or triple your savings. Get a small car and start life without worrying about unnecessary things.

Khalif Kairo Opens Up On Marriage To Wavinya After Four Months Of Dating

During the interview, Kairo opened up about his new marriage and explained why he married Wavinya, a woman he has known for less than four months, uncovering interesting take-home tips for his followers.

“I’ve been in toxic relationships before, but once you mature and develop a certain mindset, you realize it’s time to settle down and start a family. We’ve already made the decision to settle down, and we are very happy, just living life one step at a time,” Kairo said.

“When you meet a woman who shares the same mindset and principles, someone who wants to raise your children, you don’t waste time, but you just go for it.”

Kairo went on to describe Maria as someone who brings a lot of brightness into his life and expressed certainty that she is the woman he wants to spend his life with. While responding to Mungai’s question about whether he rushed into marriage and is currently in the honeymoon stage, Kairo stated that when he sees a good opportunity, he goes for it.

“Sorry to say this but I approach relationships like business. I’m one of those people if I see a good opportunity somewhere I’ll go for it, the same thing that happened when I saw Maria and thought it was fine,” Kairo said.

“I realized that while I have met other relationships that did not work out, I cannot give up on her. She’s good. She’s perfect, and I’m not saying she’s 100% perfect. We both have our own imperfections.”

He went on to state that relationships are all about tolerance and learning how you can work around those imperfections, adding that marriage has no specific timeline as some couples can date for years and still not walk down the aisle.

“People end up breaking up and meeting someone new within one or two months because they find someone who fills all the gaps. That’s what I saw with Maria; she represents everything I’ve been looking for all these years.”
