Kenyans across the country joined Muslims in celebrating Eid Mubarak after the government declared that June 28th will be a public holiday. The majority of Kenyans especially from the civil service remained at home while others utilized the opportunity to visit their villages.
Among those who visited their rural home includes President William Samoei Ruto whose photos dominated the social media platforms inspecting his farm. 
According to the photos, the head of State was seen inspecting his maize farm where the vegetation is ever-green. The maize plantation did well and by the look of things, President William Ruto will be among the farmers in the North Ruft regions who will have a bumper harvest this season.
Months ago, President William Ruto was also captured planting maize seeds on his fa. He was seen driving a tractor while planting maize seeds on his farm. The head of state during that time urged farmers across the country to utilize subsidized fertilizers to plant maize and reduce the cost of food in the country.
This comes as pressure continues to pile on the government to reduce the cost of Unga which is now costing about Ksh 250. The government insisted that the cost of unga will decrease when farmers harvest their produce later this year.
