Former President Kenyatta took Kenyans by surprise after making a public appearance.
Notably, he did not only make a public appearance but also took time to speak to the media and answer the questions they had for him.
Mr Kenyatta mentioned that his son’s home in Karen has been raided by people identifying as DCI officers.
He said that the officers were in cars with Sudanese number plates.
Minutes after expressing his fruatration, Dennis Itumbi uploaded a post across his social media platforms.
In the post, Mr Itumbi attached a letter signed by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki.
The letter addressed the use of firearms belonging to civilians in demonstrations to cause harm to ordinary Kenyans and the police as well.
In the letter, the police are looking for gang leaders who are distributing firearms.
Additionally, in the letter it is mentioned that three homes in Karen are being targeted.
The operation on the three homes began today afternoon and the owners are being suspected of taking part in illegal activities.
It may just be a coincidence that Mr Itumbi posted the letter after the press address by the former head of state since no evidence has been tabled to show that the two incidences arr related.
Additionally, no names were mentioned on the letter and we are not yet in a position to confirm that Mr Itumbi was referring to the above incident.
