An ODM member of parliament who spoke in confidence to the Sunday Nation has lamented about the wrangles in ODM and Azimio even as he accuses the leadership of both houses for their fails in recent house battles. At the moment, Azimio and ODM are a disjointed unit with no direction. The members of parliament have said before that a number of lawmakers from the Kenya Kwanza would have joined, or had promised to join them in rejecting the finance bill incase they put up a fierce fight. But that was not the case. A majority instead opted to miss out on the sittings and the coalition were left planless with no direction.
This particular MP says that the house leadership should be accessible to members and call for strategy meeting’s in good time. That several lawmakers have targeted ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna for criticism as they accuse him od high handedness. The MP adds that they have raised the issue with the leadership before since they don’t get an opportunity to give their view’s.
Sifuna is accused of not giving members an opportunity to give their view’s. That he disregards members opinion and whenever they miss rallies or meeting’s, he is always quick to give showcase letters without first inquiring where a member was.
The MP end’s that they accept to be reprimanded by the party for genuine mistakes, but then are opposed to the leadership of dictatorship.
