Wajackoya Advises Ruto to Exclude Gachagua, Ichungwah, and Ndindi Nyoro for an Effective Leadership

Roots party leader George Wajackoya has emerged as a prominent and outspoken critic of the Kenya Kwanza government, particularly since he joined forces with the Azimio coalition, where he holds a position as one of the principals.

However, there has been intensified feud between Wajckoya and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Recently, tensions between the two leaders have escalated due to a statement made by Deputy President Gachagua during a meeting with Mt Kenya leadership. Gachagua expressed his disapproval of inviting leaders who are known proponents of drug use, when the country especially the Mt Kenya region is grappling with effects of drug abuse, insinuating that Wajackoya falls into this category.

This remark did not sit well with Wajackoya, and he has since been criticizing the second-in-command, asserting that his freedom of movement is being infringed upon but maintaining that he will not be deterred.

During a recent event in Western Kenya, Wajackoya took the opportunity to highlight what he perceives as a contradiction in Gachagua’s stance on drug use. He pointed out that President William Ruto himself was captured wearing a shirt with markings associated with marijuana while in Kilifi.

Wajackoya used this incident to underscore what he sees as a double standard in the government’s approach to tackling drug-related issues.

Further elaborating on his criticisms, Wajackoya asserted that if President Ruto truly wants to lead the country effectively and efficiently, he must distance himself from hardline leaders who are hindering his leadership actions. These hardliners include Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwah, and Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro, according to Wajackoya.

The exact nature of how these three leaders are influencing the success of President Ruto’s leadership remains a subject of curiosity and speculation. Wajackoya’s public statements and criticisms imply that he believes these individuals may be exerting a negative influence on Ruto’s decision-making process or policy direction.
