Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has lashed out at Uasin Gishu County Senator Jackson Mandago over his alleged involvement in the Finland Scholarships Saga.
Speaking in Megun Ward at his Kapseret constituency on Friday, the tough-talking Sudi warned Mandago and his accomplices, saying they would pay the parents back the money whether they liked or not.
He said Mandago should not hide over tribal politics and pay the money, adding that the money stolen was used in last year’s election campaigns. He said the senator should not threaten the parents and instead pay the money back.
“Maneno ya Finaland sio ya msaha, Wazazi wameuza mashamba na ngombe alafu kuna wajinga wanakuja kula pesa na kutaka kutetewa. Hiyo pesa ilikuliwa kwanza wakati wa nominations, walitoa pesa kazi alafu wanataka kutuletea kingereza mingi, lipa pesa,” stated Sudi.
“Dawa ya deni ni kulipa, money were stolen in the open, you cannot eat the money of the poor and try to hide behind petty tribal politics….ata ukiruka juu na chini uende wapi utalipa. I also feel that I was robbed because I took part in Harambes for aiding those parents. You should pay the money, and come back to ask for forgiveness, sell your lands and refund these money. Those who have been aiding and trying to protect them should keep off. You are the one who went to the bank and instructed your men to withdraw money so take full responsibility, let Mandago and the three sell their land to pay for the money they stole from parents,” warned Sudi
He said threw jabs at Mandago, claiming he was elected when he had no single car but was threatening parents that he would sell his land and curse their children for demanding what is theirs.
He said it is the people of Uasin Gishu who elected him into power and it is through such elective seats that Mandago got the money to buy lands that he owns, hence should not threaten his parents.
