Speaking on Tuesday, a denomination of Luo elders fired back at the head of state for dumping them, saying that he fabricated it and said he would assign their sons and daughters to the government if they would instruct opposition leader Raila Odinga not to hold rallies across the country.
In the statement they made, Luo elders said that they are lamenting why they are listening to the head of state, Ruto, adding that they did not know the deal would go wrong and that they would join Azimio to protest.
“You lied to us that you would assign our children to the government if we would talk with Raila to stop Maandamano, and we did it, and instead of doing what you vowed to us, you have dumped us like that; our children don’t have jobs and are grieving; why lie to us?” They said.
Luo leaders went on to say that they have made a U-turn and they will join the Azimio to protest so they can fight for the democracy of Kenyans.
