The former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s son Jomo has moved to court to block government from taking away his guns. He is clear that, he is licensed and therefore he must be told reasons as to why government wants to take his guns without following the right procedure.
Jomo’s lawyers have moved to court and are asking orders to have the gun licensed board stopped from revoking his guns. He is clear that, the guns cannot be removed from him yet he has followed the law.

The latest move by Jomo to sue government will obviously heighten the animosity between president William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta. The former president has been on the media accusing Ruto of witch-hunt but his latest move might complicate matters further.
Jomo has warned that, the government of Kenya doesn’t have powers to withdraw his guns unprocedurally without following the law. It’s however a wait and see issue of what unfolds given the prevailing political circumstances in the country.
