Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor John Barorot has resigned from his position.
According to media reports, Barorot had announced his resignation during a meeting with senior county staff at the Eka Hotel in Eldoret in the presence of Governor Dr Jonathan Bii.
Governor Jonathan Bii was present when his deputy made the announcement, but the governor is expected to make the official communication public at a press briefing.Â
Viral Tea has learnt that Barorot resigned on good terms with his boss, and stepped down because he reportedly secured a well-paying job with a multinational organisationÂ
The move comes barely a week after he dismissed claims that he had quit office.
