Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has claimed police attempted to assassinate him on Friday during the Saba Saba protests against high cost of living.

Amisi was leading Azimio brigade in Western Kenya which started at Luanda town, proceeded to Kakamega and ended at Kitale town where a mega rally against President William Ruto’s administration was held.

The ODM legislator alleged security officers blocked all entries to Kitale using their various apparatus but he still managed to land in the town using a motorbike.e182e693e80a484a820c92d362bb1f5e?quality=uhq&resize=720

The second-time legislator vowed to continue leading protests against Kenya Kwanza government until it lowers the cost of living but reducing the current high taxes.

“You can block me, however you wish, but the cry and tears of kenyans on high tax and cost of living shall be wept. Similar sentiments were echoed by ODM leader Raila Odinga who alleged there was an attempt on his life during the opposition’s anti-government protests in Nairobi.

The former Prime Minister said live bullets were shot at his official vehicle leaving it badly damaged.

Raila said he survived the assassination attempt because he was not inside his vehicle when it was shot it by people he claimed were police officers.cee6e5ccfe7f4e3db406407cdcfc8e5a?quality=uhq&resize=720
