If you are planning to travel out of the country and you have not yet secured a passport, you should probably ensure that you have some extra cash. This is because there are high chances that you may be forced to pay some extra cash to get your passport.
In a recent post shared by Pauline Njoroge, it appears as if there is a huge problem in the immigration department in Kenya. This is after she revealed that a Kenyan lady was allegedly asked to give 15,000 Kenyan shillings to get her passport.
Even though it is not clear who demanded the money or why it was demanded, Kenyans have been heard complaining about some alleged corruption in the immigration department. This is because some Kenyans have been waiting for months to get their passports with numerous excuses from the immigration department.
However, it has also been claimed that the excuses at the immigration department tend to disappear once you part with some cash as all problems are miraculously solved.
