President William Ruto won the elections on August 9th fairly and unambiguously, according to Kisii Governor Simba Arati and Raila Odinga is merely wasting time by maintaining his denial. He makes it quite obvious that moving on after an election’s result is the wisest course of action.
Raila has been advised by Governor Simba Arati to cease denying the results of the election and accept them as facts. However, he has encouraged Raila Odinga to be heard and accommodated by President William Ruto because he is also a leader.
Additionally, Governor Simba Arati has stated that he will work closely with the president to advance the national interest because it is of utmost importance. With regard to elections US Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman and Azimio leader Raila Odinga have a very strained relationship.
However, the leaders in Azimio concur that the elections were truly free and fair. However, only time will tell whether Raila will embrace the truth and move forward since doing so is crucial.
