Hundreds of agitated Busia youths have today pulled a rare spectacle by paralysing operations at the county headquarters over alleged unfulfilled promises by governor Paul Otuoma’s administration.

The youth lobby dubbed as ‘Jobless’ which was extensively involved in governor Otuoma’s campaign camped at the compounds entrance blocking access to staff, and vowed to only leave after their grievances are addressed by the governor himself.

The youth claimed having been disenfranchised for what they heavily fought for by political brokers. They argued that despite being promised slots in the county’s workforce, not even a single member has been engaged or awarded tenders reserved for youth and people with disabilities. Instead all the vacancies have been benefiting the governor’s cronies and political brokers.

According to them, every time they sought the governor’s intervention, some senior county staff come in between and frustrate their efforts.

The youth who have since learnt that the governor is out of the county on official duties have vowed to camp their until he personally addresses them.
