Nyeri County Senator Hon Wahome Wamatinga has this morning warned that former President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Party Leader Hon Raila Odinga are expected to gain political sympathy should the government make good his threat of arrested the duo over claims of funding Demos.
Speaking to the Sunday Standard on a phone call, the Vocal Mt Kenya Lawmaker opined that Uhuru and Raila command fanatical following both locally and internationally hence the Ruto Government needs to tread carefully as far as their alleged arrests are concerned.Also, Wamatinga noted that it is the prayer of both Uhuru and Raila to have the Government act as if it’s trying to go after them adding it is a political trap those close to the government must have realized by now. All the same, Wamatinga opined that the current standoff between the government and the Opposition is a political issue that needs to be sorted out politically.
