The government through the Ministry of Interior has revealed that all security guards will be required to go through mandatory training in latest changes. This is to ensure that the guards are able to provide professional security to business and institutions of government properly. Training of the guards will also ensure that they are paid better salaries.
The PS Interior Raymond Omollo today launched the first private guards training institute. This is all to ensure that the guards are able to go with the minimum standards of security.

It’s however not clear as to whether one institute will be able to train all guards in the country. PS Omollo has warned that if security guards are not trained, they will not be allowed to work anywhere.
President Ruto wants to ensure that security guards have minimum training so that a minimum salary can be set for those who want to employ them. Kenyans are however waiting to see of what unfolds in the security firms given the prevailing circumstances.
