Mike Mbuvi Sonko is a well known Kenyan politician who has held top positions in the past, he has been a member of parliament, he became the senator of Nairobi county between 2013 to 2017 and became the governor of Nairobi in 2017 but lost his position due to impeachment over abuse of his office.
Mike Sonko has been without any elective seat having been barred from running for the Mombasa governor seat during the 9th August 2022 general elections, he has been a supporter of president William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza government.
President William Ruto has recently been seen participating in a Safari rally where he has boarded a rally car which moves in a super speed. This has not gotten well with Mike Sonko and he has said that such a game with the president should not occur, he has asked who can rescue the head of state if the car rolls and gone forward to ask the president’s personal assistant, Farouk Kibet to quit his job if he is unable to do it and turn to farming.
