Ruto Speaks On The Return Of Protests

President William Ruto has today, Monday 28 told off the Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga about his claims that the Protests yielded the 2010 Kenyan Constitution.

Ruto who responded to opposition leader Raila Odinga, said that the allegations were not true since the constitution was made after the meeting at Bomas of Kenya and Naivasha.

He further refuted the claims wondering the kind of Constitution from Protests the Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga referred to.

“Some people are deceiving us, saying that protests brought the constitution. Which constitution was brought by protests? Didn’t we go and sit at Bomas and discuss it? We talked about it in Naivasha and other places where it was crafted. Were we in protests?” President Ruto Asked.1cd89db07678456cba457cd9f2d4f358?quality=uhq&resize=720

During the Devolution conference in Eldoret, Raila told the Uasin Gishu County Governor that the constitution was as a result of the Protests and that the same Protests would be used to by the families affected in the Finland Scholarship Saga.

“I want to tell the Uasin Gishu Governor that this constitution we have is a production of demonstrations. I also want to remind him that if demonstrations can help families whose children were cheated of being taken to Finland then there is nothing wrong with demonstrations,”
