Emerging details are indicating that President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua had hands in the fight that was witnessed within the Jubilee party. According to Maragua MP Mary Wamaua, it is the president and his deputy who was pushing for Sabina Chege to become the party leader of Jubilee.
The fight over leadership of the former ruling party led to stalemate with each of the two factions pulling to the opposite sides. One faction led by EALA MP Kanini Kega and Nominated MP Sabina Chege was dragging the party with them after they decided to shift their loyalty to Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
However, the other faction led by the former head of State Uhuru Kenyatta, Jeremiah Kioni and David Murathe made a firm stance that the party will remain affiliate of Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance.
Now the UDA legislator has spill the beans that the government made Sabina Chege as the Jubilee. Wamaua was lecturing Sabina of her current acts. She claimed that the former Murang’a Woman Representative is not showing the elected Mt. Kenya leaders respect since she was made the party leader.
As Wamaua is saying this, there is a Court order barring Sabina and Kanini faction from any activity of the Jubilee party. The court ordered them not to even talk anything about the party. The leaders have since kept off the party affairs.
