Of the most surprising picks is John Mbadi, who has been nominated as the Cabinet Secretary of the National Treasury.
Rebecca Miano has been reassigned to the Ministry of Tourism, having been previously nominated as the Attorney General.

The proposed Cabinet Secretaries are; John Mbadi (National Treasury), Salim Mvurya (Investment Trade and Industry), Rebecca Miano (Tourism and Wildlife), Opiyo Wandayi Energy and Petroleum), Kipchumba Murkomen (Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports).
Others appointed were Hassan Joho (Mining and Blue Economy), Alfred Mutua ( Labour and Social Protection), Wycliffe Oparanya (Cooperatives and MSME Development), Justin Muturi (Public Service), and Stella Lang’at (Gender, Culture, Arts & Heritage).
The nomination makes the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) the largest winner in the new cabinet reforms with its members taking prime positions in Ruto’s cabinet.
