President Ruto is currently in Sagana State Lodge. It is his maiden visit to the lodge once known to be Uhuru’s favorite during his tenure as 4th President. He is set to spend his days there until next Thursday.
After holding a Service earlier at the State Lodge, the President was interviewed by Inooro TV’s Kiririmbi Show.
While answering a question there was a moment of concern when the President suddenly coughed. He however calmed the situation by giving an answer that left journalists in stitches.
Remember the interview was held outside and a fire had been lit to provide warmth taking into account the cold temperatures in Nyeri County. There could be a concern that the smoke had choked the President but he gave a different answer cracking up the journalists.
According to President Ruto, he had eaten some maize shortly before the interview and that was the reason he had coughed suddenly while in the middle of answering a question.
“Nilikua nakula mahindi, so that’s the Problem.” President Ruto said causing laughter.
